About us
We are a community dedicated to mobilizing Virginians to fight for our rights to homeschool our children without interference from the government.
In November of 2025, the majority of Virginians voted for a very anti-homeschool group of legislators to take over our state government. The founders of Homeschoolers United have been working with leaders in Virginia in our fight for homeschool rights for many years, and we recognized that this new state administration will now be able to force legislation unhindered onto our citizens and our children.
Our goal is to organize our members in a fight against the overreach which is certain to accompany this new administration. During the past several years, Governor Youngkin has been able to veto the anti-homeschool and anti-parental rights bills that have made it to his desk. We have been able to lobby our representatives to legally table and shut down proposed anti-homeschool legislation before it could even be voted for.
We CAN win this fight now, even though we are at a legislative disadvantage, as long as we work together to spread information, and become PROACTIVE in our efforts. The time to react to bad legislation is gone. We now need to go on the offensive, and we will.
